The Maternal Child Health Nursing Department

The Maternal and Child Health Nursing Department was established in 1998. The Department includes two sections: The Maternal Health Nursing and the Child and Adolescence Health Nursing. It is devoted to promote mothers' and children's health and well-being. The department care about teaching evidence based nursing care and work collaboratively to conduct research to answer questions and solve problems in maternal and child health nursing field. The department work to expand its expertise and knowledge to include regional and international activities in conducting, attending, and participating in national, regional and international conferences, and in reviewing research papers for highly-esteemed international nursing journals. Faculty in this department believes that maternal health is the basis for family well-being and thus the Jordanian community wellness at large. 

The department members are active in teaching the theory and practice of nursing, research conduction and community services. They are active participants in conferences, workshops, and symposia locally and abroad, and most take advantage of the various research and exchange programs between the University and other international academic and health institutions.
